Browse TopicsTo register for WhatsApp, download the app from the official app store, open the app and enter your phone number. WhatsApp will send you an SMS with a verification code. Enter this code to complete registration. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
To back up your chat history, go to "Settings" > "Chats" > "Chat backup". Here you can choose "Back Up Now" or set up automatic backup frequency. Backups will be saved to your Google Drive or iCloud account. It's recommended to perform backups over Wi-Fi to avoid using mobile data.
To create a group, tap the "New Group" option in the Chats tab. Select the contacts you want to add to the group, name the group and set a group photo. Tap "Create" to finish. Groups can have up to 256 participants.
To enable two-step verification, go to "Settings" > "Account" > "Two-step verification" > "Enable". You'll need to set up a 6-digit PIN and provide an email address as a backup in case you forget your PIN. Once enabled, you'll need this PIN when registering your phone number.
To change your profile picture, go to "Settings" > tap your name > tap your current profile picture. You can choose to take a photo or select one from your gallery. After selecting a photo, you can adjust the cropping area, then tap "Done" to save changes.
